Hanson Builders Wins Award for Energy Efficient Homes

The Hanson Builders team with their award for energy efficient homes.

We are excited to share that Hanson Builders recently won an award from CenterPoint Energy and Xcel Energy’s High Efficiency New Homes Program in the Top Total Savings: Large Builder category. Specifically, our team won the award for Highest Average Total Savings (Gas & Electric) per Conditioned Square Foot with More than 50 Homes!

This award is a testament to our team’s hard work and commitment to building energy-efficient homes in Minnesota.

What is the High Efficiency New Homes Program?

The High Efficiency New Homes Program is a joint offering between CenterPoint Energy and Xcel Energy, offered to new home builders as an opt-in program. Homes built through this program are inspected and tested by a third-party professional trained in advanced building science. The program also uses advanced software to model the energy impact of various design elements. Builders use this data to improve their designs and create more energy-efficient homes.

By focusing on energy efficiency when designing homes, participating builders are able to create homes with increased comfort, lower energy bills, healthier indoor air, and lasting value.

Our Commitment to You

At Hanson Builders, we strive to build homes that are not only beautiful but also functional, sustainable, and long-lasting.
